Simple workout: 40 snatches or swings, and 300 yd jog. As many rounds as possible in 30 minutes. Simple, but very tough.

Just a few kettlebell snatches. It isn’t too heavy, only about 56lbs (23kgs). I normally do anywhere from three to five sets of five. Snatches are great, because they teach you how to generate full body power, rippling out from your center to move the weight from the ground to overhead. The round shape and compacted weight of the kettlebell make it tougher than it looks. But the exercise helps you feel what fa jin is like. –And yes; I know how ridiculous I look doing it.
